Humphrey, NE

Today we visited the town of Humphrey, Nebraska. This is where Grandpa's dad's family is from.

The streetlights here are very odd. Instead of being vertical, they are horizontal.

This is my great great grandpa Ternus's first family house.

This is thier second house.

This is St. Francis church. My great grandfather attended the school in this parish.

This is the original site of Farmers State Bank, started by my great great grandpa Ternus when he was 29 years old.

The bank has since moved to this building.

MAIN STREET makes this look like a ghost town. Instead of pedestrian crossing, they had chicken crossing. The only three things to do in Humphrey were bowling, movies, and roller skating.

The corn stalks were more than knee high, but then it is past the 4th of July.

We were still carrying part of the Badlands with us.
